Under 16 Division One 

Kingscourt Harps 2 - 7 Oldcastle United

The blues picked up three more points on the road after a resounding win at the MSJ Stadium in Kingscourt. Conor Hetherton opened the scoring finishing off some early pressure in the box. The second goal came after Louis Collerans run down the wing and cross found Ciaran Healy and his neat pass to Paul Wade saw the striker finish well into the corner of the net. The third goal came from wade again after he reacted quickest to Fergal Gibneys 30 yard shot which was initially saved by the keeper but only into the path of Wade who tapped home. Straight into the second half Oldcastle continued to dominate and Darren Connell neat work on the right side and his cross was met by Conor Hetherton who bravely through his head in to bury it into the bottom corner of the net. The fifth goal came courtesy of a Cillian Hanlon special, his half clearance deceived the keeper and found the back of the net. Sloppy defending allowed the Harps to pull one back, and few minutes later they grabbed a second when a shot hit the top corner of the net to make it five two. Our sixth goal came from good work and unselfish play from Jack Fox who laid it on a plate for DJ Monaghan to tap home from close range. James McCluskey finished the day off with a long range shot which was saved but the power took it into the back of the net.
