Oldcastle A.F.C. was founded in 1971.
The first committee was
Chairman: Niall Caffrey
Vice Chairman: Paddy Callan

The club initially played in the Longford League 1971 - 1982 and from 1982 till present the club played in the Meath & District League.(Now called the North East Football League 2014)
Under Manager Brian Finn the Club won back to back league titles (Premier Division) in 1987-1988 & 1988-1989
Down the years our club was represented on league committees & association committes with
Gerry Skelly who represented the club on the Executive Committee of the Meath & District League
Martin Smith held a seat on the North Eastern Counties Schoolboy/girls Executive Committee.
Most recently Justin Burke held numerous positions within our Club, and went on to become the Meath & District Football Leagues first ever P.R.O which also saw him become the first winner of the F.A.I P.R.O of the Year in 2014 from Leinster. He also was the league registrar, had a seat on the Leinster Football Association committee, and sat on various other committees within the FAI Headquarters.
Players from the club have represented the league in the Oscar Traynor Trophy & Kennedy Cup teams (Senior & Schoolboy/girl)
We had a former player Chloe McNamee go on to better things, as she took the long trip up to play in Dublin with ladies side Shelbourne Fc, and only last season saw he part of the squad that won the league & cup
The clubs home ground at present is in the Gilson Park Oldcastle.
