Oldcastle United dropped two valuble points in their quest for the league title when they traveled to Navan. Manager Brian Griffin made loads of changes to the team and they took an early lead when Fergal Gibney set up James McCluskey with a great through ball and he finished well into the bottom left corner of the net. Robinstown never gave up and fought back to equalize when a free kick was met by a Robinstown player at the back post and he made no mistake from close range. A minute later Oldcastle regained the lead when Ciaran Healy crossed for that man again, James McCluskey and he once again fired a low shot into the bottom corner. With ten minutes remaining the Robinstown team levelled matters when a free kick into the box found a unmarked player and he volleyed home.
